NZ Iron: Tell us a bit more about yourself:
I am a mix of Indonesian and Chinese but have grown up in New Zealand. I am the youngest out of three girls and currently live in Auckland. I am studying a Bachelor of Communication Studies full time. Although fitness is a big part of my life, my other interests includes singing, eating, attending church and Game of Thrones.
NZ Iron: We love your pictures, tell us about your training regime.
I work out six days a week. My routine compromises mostly of Kettlebell training but also includes a variety of training methods such as weights training, HIIT and the occasional game of football on the weekend. I think it is important to be able to do a range of workouts to challenge myself and not let my body get used to the training over time.
NZ Iron: You work, you're studying and have a social life - when do you get the time?
People say they don’t have the time to work out....thats an excuse, I make the time. Having short-term and long-term goals to work towards and a diary/planner goes a long way too!
NZ Iron: How did you first find Kettlebells?
I first encountered Kettlebells in my gym workouts. I noticed how amazing these little iron devils are and then Darryl Grauman opened a whole new world for me when he got me interested and hooked learning about them.
NZ Iron: What's your favourite KB set/workout?
I hate to say it but I do love the 100set Viking Warrior challenge because everyone travels from all around the place to complete it together as a team. Once you overcome the mental barriers and difficulty in this workout it feels really rewarding! If you won’t know what I’m talking about… find the video on Youtube search: “Viking Warrior MVO2 100-Set Challenge”

NZ Iron: We hear from many women that they don't want to get "bulky" from using Kettlebells - you are certainly not bulky - what would you say to them?
You will not get “bulky” from using Kettlebells, you’ll become confident instead! Not lifting weights because you’re afraid you’ll gain too much muscle is like not driving your car because you fear becoming a Nascar driver. “Strong is the new sexy” so why should you be afraid of putting on some gorgeous muscle in the first place?
NZ Iron: We believe that women deserve to be strong but many of them don't believe it's "their place" to use a KB, because it's a "man thing" what would you say to that?
I think the myth that women shouldn’t use a KB is only perpetuated by women who fear hard work and men who fear women. We can either make ourselves miserable or make ourselves strong… The amount of work is the same.
NZ Iron: And what about food? Do you follow any strict nutrition plan or eating habits? Are you a fanatic who spends all day Sunday packing meals for the next week? Do you have a cheat day??
Hmmm food… I love food! I do follow a meal plan and follow a ‘clean eating’ diet. I meal prep the night before for convenience. It’s so hard to say no to mum’s Asian cooking though! Remember you can’t out-exercise a bad diet (and good sleeping habits).
NZ Iron: What else would you like to tell people about yourself, training, nutrition, Kettlebells or anything else??
Give. It. A. Go. Pick up your balls (figuratively speaking) and step out of your comfort zone! If you want things you’ve never had before… You have to do things you’ve never done before! I’m only an email, phone call/text or Facebook message away.
